Bryce graduated from Old Dominion in 2012 with a degree in Sports Management, was most recently General Manager of Bangers & Dinks Indoor Pickleball, and brings a career in sports operations plus a lifetime of competitive play (baseball, rowing, rugby) to the role. Leads intermediate Skills & Drills and programs the SMASH schedule.
Among Charlottesville's top-ranked players and a decorated national competitor. Known for an aggressive, strategy-driven style and a signature swinging forehand attack volley. Teaches at cvilleSMASH and Farmington Country Club. Her family holds the record for most family medals ever won at the Minto US Open — 11 medals between four players.
Playing and winning at the highest amateur levels nationally since 2015, Megan brings that same competitive energy and joy to every lesson. Her sessions are energetic, inclusive, and packed with learning and laughter. She's the head of the Dink Doctor Series at SMASH — weekly workshops on defense-to-offense, countering and attacking, transition zone mastery, and more.
A Charlottesville native who picked up pickleball six years ago and quickly climbed to elite 4.5+ level. Aydon is nearly finished with his Nursing degree and leads the Winning As One clinic series at SMASH. Familiar face on the courts — many members have played with him before they ever took a lesson.
Playing since 1998 — a quarter century into the sport. Carolyn has taught her favorite game to hundreds of players. Her teaching runs from foundational skills for beginners to accuracy, consistency, situational awareness, and mental focus for advanced players. Fun and encouraging, but always with a real coaching plan behind it.
Comes from a deep racquet sports background — years of professional tennis coaching before moving to pickleball. Teaches technique, movement, and game strategy. Works with players at every level, group or private. Leads intermediate Skills & Drills every other Sunday at 10am.
Background in biomechanics and kinesiology combined with a working career as a competitive pickleball player. Builds athletes through technical precision, movement efficiency, and competitive mindset. High-performance coaching applied to a growing sport.
Part of the UVA tournament team that took the 2023 Collegiate National Championship. A strong communicator and a great match to pair with newer players who want to level up. Regularly plays in the SMASH Monday Night Challengers Series.
